Key Responsibilities:Determine layer stack-up, perform component package selection, and conduct routing feasibility studies for digital, analog, RF, and power conversion PCBs. Execute multilayer PCB layouts (20+ layers), including component placement, high-speed routing (differential pairs, length matching), controlled impedance, and power/ground plane design. Conduct pre- and post-layout SI/PI simulations to address crosstalk, reflections, and EMI/EMC challenges. Perform DRC/ERC checks, peer reviews, and design audits; work alongside hardware and firmware engineers for functional validation and prototype support. Generate fabrication deliverables (Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, drill files, stack-up drawings, assembly files). Analyze designs for manufacturability and ensure production readiness.

As a PCB Designer on the Starship team, you will play a pivotal role by creating layouts for our in-house board designs. This involves close collaboration with Hardware Development Engineers as they develop schematics, offering your expertise and recommendations during design reviews, and iterating designs to achieve optimal solutions. Your contributions will encompass a diverse range of designs, from radio phased arrays to power converters and beyond.
