Senior PHP Developer

We are seeking a talented Full Stack PHP Developer to join our team for an 8+ month contract in the vibrant Midtown Atlanta area. In this position, you will dedicate 90% of your time to developing custom functionalities for web applications utilizing Drupal as the CMS. The remaining 10% will involve essential tasks such as testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting. A significant part of your initial responsibilities will focus on migrating the site from a custom CMS to Drupal 8.

Essential Qualifications:• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required.• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in PHP development, including application maintenance and migration between PHP and .NET frameworks.• Expertise in designing and developing applications using the following technologies: o PHP o ASP.NET o WordPress o XML o CSS o HTML o Bootstrap o .NET o Visual Basic o Web Services o JavaScript• Extensive knowledge of programming across various operating systems and platforms using development tools.• Proficient in working with Oracle and MySQL databases.• Experience in creating technical documentation, including System Design documents, Implementation Plans, and User Handbooks, to accurately represent application architecture and code.• Proven ability to write high-quality, maintainable source code.• Familiarity with functional, non-functional, unit, and integration testing methodologies.• Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging applications.• Capable of assessing, managing, customizing, and maintaining Off-the-Shelf software.• Strong ability to review existing applications for reprogramming, updates, and feature enhancements.• Excellent communication skills are essential.Preferred Qualifications:• Application Developer Certification is a plus.• A Master's Degree would be advantageous.
