This group shapes the core of our design strategy, focusing on building a modular design system that speeds up both design and development. The role involves refining system processes, working with partners across the company, and supporting scalability through collaboration with accessibility and localization teams. Automated tools and AI-driven patterns are central to our approach. What You Will Do Define, manage, and evolve GetYourGuide’s design language to ensure consistency, scalability, and effectiveness across all products. Integrate design, engineering, and product strategies, especially as automation, AI tools, and code-driven design become more important. Work closely with Product Design, Content Design, Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Data Products teams to support business goals. Participate in every stage of the design process: requirements gathering, ideation, concept development, validation, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and implementation support. Guide teams in using the design system and promote systemic thinking over isolated solutions. Identify and incorporate new trends, such as generative UI, adaptive theming, and real-time personalization, into the design system roadmap. Create visually appealing, emotionally resonant, and precise designs that clearly communicate system patterns to engineers and stakeholders. Champion high standards in product design across the organization. Take initiative in addressing challenges and ambiguity, and adapt quickly to deliver meaningful results.
