Role overview: Senior Platform Engineer
This Berlin-based position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation that support bunch’s applications. The Senior Platform Engineer blends DevOps agility with the architectural responsibilities of Platform Engineering, helping development teams deliver secure, high-quality software at scale.
What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure in AWS.
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools.
- Oversee container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and high availability plans.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable and efficient deployments.
- Automate provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.
- Integrate automated testing and security checks into delivery workflows.
- Deploy and manage logging, alerting, and observability tools to monitor system health.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, outages, and bottlenecks.
- Work alongside development teams to resolve deployment challenges.
- Ensure infrastructure and processes meet security, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Apply security patches and updates to infrastructure and platform components.
- Collaborate with software engineers to align development and operational practices.
