- Lead the design, production, coordination, and detailed architecture within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Facilitate engineering system coordination with engineers and external consultants, partnering with Design Leadership to realize design intent, while collaborating with all project team members on assignments and documentation.
- Produce design sketches for moderately complex to intricate site plans.
- Effectively communicate project status, design objectives, and critical updates to stakeholders, including owners, consultants, and clients.
- Engage in business development initiatives and collaborate with Marketing and Office Leadership to support revenue growth.
- Assume a proactive leadership role within the project team and office environment; lead discussions in team meetings.
- Conduct field site observations, which will involve physical site walkthroughs.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Integrate performance-based and sustainable design strategies into solutions wherever applicable.
- Guide project teams by utilizing the CannonDesign Method, implementing process expectations, best practices, reference standards, tools, templates, and technology to achieve competitive advantages, outstanding service delivery, and enhanced team productivity.
- Foster a stimulating and rewarding environment that champions design and technical excellence.
- Empower team members and delegate tasks effectively, building high-performance teams that encourage innovation and continuous improvement.
- Encourage critical thinking and constructive critiques of work; identify and disseminate lessons learned with the team.
- Oversee and mentor interns and less experienced team members.
- Ensure technical quality across projects by enforcing QA/QC standards and confirming compliance with all statutory project requirements.
