Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Project Controls, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., AACE, PMI-PMP) are advantageous. Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics, project controls, or financial management within the infrastructure, construction, or energy sectors. Demonstrated experience in developing analytics solutions and facilitating data-led decision-making on large, complex projects. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel proficiency. Expertise in cost and schedule analytics tools and familiarity with statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.

The ideal candidate will engage in all phases of project management, from pinpointing requirements and outlining project scope to spearheading the creation and implementation of robust controls analytics solutions. This position presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with prestigious clients on significant projects, working alongside a diverse array of construction professionals in a multidisciplinary setting.

The Senior Project Controls Analyst will be pivotal in delivering advanced analytics and insightful data to bolster project controls functions for major infrastructure initiatives. This role is essential for aligning project risks, schedule performance, and cost forecasts with broader business objectives. The analyst will collaborate closely with various teams, including project managers, risk analysts, and commercial professionals, to improve project performance visibility and facilitate informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Controls Analytics & Reporting:

  • Create and oversee dashboards and reports that illuminate project status across all PMO functions at both project and program levels.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators, identifying trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver clear and actionable insights to stakeholders, supporting effective governance decisions.
  • Data Modelling & Analysis:
  • Develop descriptive and predictive analytics models to evaluate potential project outcomes based on current data and trends.

Risk & Performance Management:

  • Partner with the risk management team to integrate data-driven risk models into the controls framework.
  • Quantify and incorporate risk impacts into forecasts and contingency plans, providing a comprehensive view of project performance, including support for QSRA and QCRA.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage closely with project teams to assess requirements, define desired outcomes, and deliver customized analytics solutions.
  • Articulate complex analytics insights and recommendations in an accessible manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure that all controls analytics methodologies and practices comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Remain informed about advancements in analytics tools, techniques, associated technologies (including project controls software), and best practices within project and program management.
