Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering (mandatory). A minimum of 5 years of practical SolidWorks experience in designing custom machines from concept to completion. At least 2 years of experience in automation, welding processes, and engaging with customers. Strong grasp of mechanical design principles, including machine tools, materials, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission. Demonstrated work history with a robust project ownership mindset. Must be a U. S. Citizen or Green Card holder. Must reside within 45 minutes of Brown Deer, WI (no relocation or remote work options available).

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the complete mechanical design cycle of custom automation systems and robotic work cells, from initial concept through to final production.
  • Manage multiple design projects, prioritizing timelines and resolving technical challenges.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, manufacturable solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive 3D models, technical drawings, and bills of materials using SolidWorks.
  • Utilize your expertise in automation, welding, power transmission, hydraulics, and pneumatics to address real-world challenges.
  • Continuously enhance engineering processes and design standards.
