Qualifications

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Active P. E. license in Florida (or the ability to secure Florida registration within six months if licensed in another state). Demonstrated relevant experience in the Tampa or Orlando area is mandatory. A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Senior Project Engineer (required) with a total of ten (10) years in related engineering fields (preferred). At least two (2) years of experience in major road or bridge construction and five (5) years specifically in major bridge construction. For non-degreed candidates, a minimum of ten (10) years of engineering experience is required, including two (2) years in major road or bridge construction. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. Must complete the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the certification exam. Hold FDOT Advanced MOT certification.

We are currently in search of a highly skilled CEI Senior Project Engineer to oversee and provide engineering and construction management support for projects in Districts 1 & 7, primarily within the Tampa area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
  • Organize and direct the work of subordinate staff members effectively.
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement policies, methods, practices, and procedures to enhance project efficiency.
  • Assess programs to ensure compliance with departmental standards and regulations.
