Senior Project Engineer – Custom Robotics & Automation
Location: Brown Deer, WI (100% onsite)

About the Role
Join a dynamic engineering team focused on transforming innovative custom automation and robotic systems from idea to implementation. You'll engage in designing, prototyping, and overseeing the construction of these systems directly on-site, making a significant contribution to our global clientele and advancing your professional journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Mechanical Design: Take ownership of comprehensive SolidWorks modeling and drafting for bespoke automation and robotic work cells, ensuring precision from initial concept through to production.
- Project Management: Oversee a variety of design initiatives, effectively managing scope, timelines, and resources to achieve delivery goals while tackling engineering hurdles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, controls, manufacturing, and clients to refine designs for optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.
- Documentation & BOMs: Create thorough 3D models, assembly schematics, and detailed bills of materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance design standards, processes, and workflows to elevate quality and efficiency.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Design Experience: Minimum of 5 years in custom machine design using SolidWorks, delivering comprehensive solutions.
- Automation & Fabrication: At least 2 years working with automation systems, welding techniques, and direct customer interaction.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of machine tool fundamentals, material science, power transmission, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Work History: Proven reliability with a solid track record of executing complex engineering projects successfully.
- Location & Eligibility: Must live within a 45-minute commute of Brown Deer, WI; U. S. citizen or Green Card holder.
