The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in project estimating and aggregation methodologies, including risk and contingency applications.Collaborate with Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, and other stakeholders to:Plan, schedule, and manage the data-gathering process for project scope and cost at each stage gate across all disciplines.Analyze cost estimates against historical benchmarks for similar projects, scrutinizing any discrepancies with estimators from relevant functional groups.Maintain supporting documentation for stage gate updates and regulatory filings.Conduct peer reviews of project aggregations with minimal supervision.Develop cost estimates for new Transmission & Distribution Substations, Substation Rebuilds/Expansions, Major Equipment Replacements, Protection Upgrades, and new Customer Substations.Estimate material and labor costs, applying standards for direct and indirect costs, and prepare estimates using Cost Estimating Tools such as SCMT and InEight.Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to review cost estimates and secure necessary approvals.Perform detailed variance analyses for cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle, and revise estimates based on change requests related to scope, cost, and schedule.Execute multiple peer reviews of cost estimates prepared by various estimating team members to ensure accuracy and consistency.
