Qualifications

Experience Requirements:A minimum of 17 years of full-time professional project and construction management experience. At least 5 years in managing large programs with individual projects valued over $50 million.5 years of experience specifically in educational facility construction, public works, or extensive commercial projects (experience outside California is considered). Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Design-Build project delivery. Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM). Familiarity with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS). Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes.

The Tsui Group is actively looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in educational facility construction projects. This pivotal role will support a major educational client in Los Angeles County and includes the following responsibilities:

  • Addressing and resolving complex issues, disputes, and disagreements related to construction projects.
  • Developing, assigning, and overseeing the performance of Owner's Authorized Representatives (OARs) for assigned construction projects.
  • Monitoring project status and overall progress against submitted construction schedules.
  • Evaluating change orders from all construction projects and assessing their implications for the district.
  • Supporting Regional Directors and other facilities management staff with bid and contract planning.
  • Assessing bid specifications according to district requirements and feasibility for on-time completion.
  • Tracking project database variances related to scheduling and cost control reporting.
  • Reviewing and validating submitted payment applications while managing the fiscal aspects of multiple construction projects.
  • Providing functional oversight concerning project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract management, and quality assurance.
  • Monitoring the administration of contracts for architects and associated consultants.
  • Coordinating program activities across various district departments including Environmental Health and Safety, Design and A/E Technical Support, and more.
  • Taking recommended actions to resolve disputes regarding construction projects.
  • Formulating and proposing internal policies and procedures.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
