About Us

Our geotechnics group within the Marine & Civil Engineering sector combines construction engineering, geotechnics, and geology. In Berlin, Hamburg, or Hanover, you will collaborate within a 22-member geotechnics team, embedded in a larger interdisciplinary unit of around 90 professionals, with access to Ramboll's global network of over 18,000 experts.

Your New Role

As a Senior Project Manager in Geotechnics, you will assume technical responsibility for geotechnical design and execution planning, as well as the operational oversight of specialized deep construction projects. You will work closely with interdisciplinary project teams, applying your expertise in planning, calculations, and implementation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Independent management and leadership of geotechnical subprojects
  • Technical guidance and support for the project team through all project phases
  • Geotechnical design and execution planning for excavations, deep foundations, soil improvements, and specialized deep construction measures
  • Execution and evaluation of 2D and 3D FEM calculations for soil-structure interaction within structural planning and usability contexts
  • Participation in cost estimations and construction scheduling
  • Temporary involvement in site management and construction supervision
  • Active contribution to cost optimization and project control
  • Interdisciplinary and international project collaboration
  • Regular communication with clients and project teams (German / English)

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed studies in civil engineering with a focus on geotechnics (Bachelor's/Master's/PhD)
  • Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally with some project management responsibility
  • Experience in design, approval, and execution planning
  • Project experience in specialized deep construction, civil engineering, or tunneling
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., GGU, FRILO, RFEM, Plaxis)
  • Team-oriented, proactive individual with initiative
  • Excellent German and English skills
