Senior Project Manager
Join our award-winning IT solutions provider, Systems Integration & Development (SID), located in McLean, VA, as a Senior Project Manager. This full-time, hybrid position offers a unique opportunity to lead diverse projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project management functions, ensuring processes are in place to control, plan, identify issues, and track all work activities. This includes providing centralized administrative, clerical, and documentation services, as well as performing financial and milestone variance analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project scope and objectives are met efficiently.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans that encompass tasks, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Analyze program costs and milestone performances, utilizing appropriate documentation and reporting for all Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Agile-derived elements.
- Support the definition of project requirements and system specifications.
- Facilitate project meetings, providing direction to project teams.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of project management experience, ideally within the IT or software development sectors.
- Experience managing government contracts as a Project Manager.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing projects using Agile methodologies.
- PMP certification is mandatory.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Trello, and Jira.
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on fostering positive working relationships.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
