Role Overview: Senior Python Developer (Budapest)
This position focuses on building and enhancing transaction surveillance and data pipeline systems within a multinational team. The work supports reliable, scalable operations across a diverse set of financial instruments and regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and extend transaction surveillance and data pipeline processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Switch between high-level system architecture and detailed implementation for a surveillance system that manages more than 150 processes.
- Optimize data architectures and databases for performance and reliability.
- Develop internal tooling to speed up development and improve system monitoring.
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Project Ownership and Collaboration
- Own projects and subsystems from start to finish, making key decisions on technical and business issues.
- Work closely with quantitative engineers, surveillance model developers, and compliance teams to turn business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Spot bottlenecks, risks, and constraints; estimate costs; and share insights with stakeholders.
- Translate high-level surveillance ideas into production-ready processes that deliver actionable results.
Data Stewardship
- Manage and curate essential datasets that support surveillance operations.
