Role Overview
We are on the lookout for a Senior Reliability and Test Engineer who will play a crucial role in the development and validation of our next-generation home robots and data collection systems. This position will allow you to take early-stage prototypes and drive them into mass production. It’s a unique opportunity to tackle key challenges in robotics during the early phases of product development.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with product management and design engineering teams to:
Identify potential high-risk failure modes early in the design process and partner with engineering teams to mitigate these risks.
Create innovative reliability tests based on principles of failure physics and anticipated user behavior.
Manage tasks related to Regulatory Compliance, including requirements research, pre-compliance validation, and certification activities.
Design and construct essential test equipment along with detailed test specifications.
Conduct hands-on reliability and validation testing while overseeing both internal test technicians and external supplier testing teams.
Coordinate effectively with internal teams and vendor engineers to ensure timely test execution.
Assist in failure analysis and provide recommendations for design improvements based on testing data and insights.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware reliability test engineering or a related field.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent).
Exceptional attention to detail and superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated experience in product certification processes and compliance.
