Role
As a Senior Research Scientist specializing in Robotic Foundation Models, you will spearhead the design and execution of systems that facilitate the training, deployment, and application of large-scale AI models in the robotics sector. You will play a pivotal role in defining technical strategies, mentoring fellow engineers, and ensuring the development of robust and scalable machine learning models that enhance robotic capabilities in real-world settings. Your contributions will provide essential tools and infrastructure to both internal teams and external partners, enabling the integration of advanced machine learning techniques into robotic applications.
How Your Contributions Propel Our Mission
- Lead the architecture and development of infrastructure for large-scale robotic foundation models.
- Oversee the training and deployment of high-performance machine learning models for robotic applications.
- Equip machine learning researchers and engineers with user-friendly tools and infrastructure to foster the development and implementation of AI techniques in robotics.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define infrastructure needs and deliver effective solutions for our partners and clients.
Essential Skills for Success
- PhD in Computer Science or Engineering, with a focus on Machine Learning and/or Robotics.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience collaborating on medium to large-scale software projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++, along with experience in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, JAX).
- Demonstrable experience in offline Reinforcement Learning or Imitation Learning within a robotics context.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team, guiding direction and driving towards effective solutions.
