As a Senior Software Development Manager, you will spearhead the development of a robust framework and structure aimed at rapidly expanding your team while efficiently scaling software development processes. Your mission is to ensure the timely delivery of complex projects with exceptional quality. This pivotal role will entail providing technical leadership, vision, and mentorship across multiple software engineering teams within our Technology department. You will play a critical role in shaping the technical vision for iHerb and leading engineering teams to execute this vision effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate in establishing the technical roadmap for the company.
• Set goals and OKRs for the teams under your supervision.
• Oversee multiple Software Development Managers and their respective teams.
• Manage resource planning, project estimation, and delivery.
• Cultivate, mentor, and coach high-performing teams.
• Conduct performance management and provide quarterly feedback to team members.
• Develop and implement quality procedures.
• Manage software development projects from inception to completion.
• Establish software development standards and best practices for delivering scalable and high-quality solutions.
• Mentor team members at all levels.
• Collaborate closely with other teams to enhance system architecture and project efficiency.
• Partner with the Product Owner for effective work planning and prioritization.
• Guide team efforts towards the successful delivery of projects.
• Maintain high software quality standards by fostering good practices within the team.
• Provide consistent project and team performance updates.
• Identify growth opportunities and encourage continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams, effectively conveying ideas.
• Extensive experience in team building, hiring, coaching, and staff motivation.
• Proven track record in leading multiple teams, both in-office and remote (10+ reports).
• Proficiency in Object-oriented Analysis and Design (OOA and OOD).
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and infrastructure, including Kubernetes, CI/CD, Redis, RabbitMQ, etc.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
