What you’ll do: Design and construct simulation environments that replicate CTV auction mechanics, inventory supply, and advertiser competition. Develop counterfactual and what-if frameworks to assess bidding strategies, budget distribution, and pacing algorithms offline. Create AI agents to explore strategy spaces, formulate hypotheses, and automate experiments within simulated environments. Utilize simulations to mitigate risks associated with ML model deployments by validating new bidding and optimization strategies prior to live traffic implementation. Define the technical roadmap for simulation and AI infrastructure, while mentoring fellow engineers on the team. What we’re looking for: Proficiency in systems programming languages like Zig or similar (C, C++, Rust). In-depth knowledge of probabilistic modeling, stochastic processes, or agent-based simulation. Hands-on experience with modern AI tools including LLMs, code generation, and agentic workflows, paired with sound judgment on their applicability. Experience in adtech: familiarity with RTB mechanics and the intricacies of programmatic advertising. Ability to translate complex business inquiries (e.g., "What if we modify our bid strategy?") into structured simulation frameworks. Strong written communication skills for defining new technical directions and engaging stakeholders. Ownership mentality: capability to scope, design, and deliver systems autonomously. Proven track record of leveraging AI to enhance productivity and quality in relevant outputs. Robust ability to critically evaluate and validate new approaches.
