Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop innovative tools and processes that facilitate rapid and accurate software development. Engage in hands-on integration and troubleshooting throughout the entire Starship software stack. Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, maintain, and continuously enhance a dedicated pool of on-premises computing resources. Identify opportunities for improvement and devise creative solutions that empower the software team to address all challenges associated with the Starship program as we work towards the development of the world's first fully reusable rocket and spacecraft. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of software engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a related STEM discipline; OR 7+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Proficiency with Bazel or similar build systems. Fluency in Python, C++, Rust, or Go. Experience in building tools and infrastructure that impact the daily work of hundreds of engineers. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and a keen interest in leveraging AI to enhance code quality, testing, and development workflows. Strong analytical and first-principles problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, CONTINUOUS INTEGRATION (STARSHIP)
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Continuous Integration team for Starship, you will take charge of the tools that power the development of Starship software. Your role will involve designing, maintaining, and scaling systems that enable hundreds of engineers to seamlessly integrate their changes and deliver robust software to Starship vehicles and launch pads continuously. This position offers a high degree of autonomy, and we are seeking individuals who are eager to collaborate with teammates, identify significant challenges, and lead solutions from inception to completion!
