About the role

The electrical grid may not be glamorous, but it is the backbone of our modern world, powering homes, hospitals, factories, and entire cities. At Mercury, we understand the importance of infrastructure that is stable, meticulously regulated, and resilient. When it functions flawlessly, it goes unnoticed; when it falters, everything grinds to a halt.

Our Domestic Wires team is integral to Mercury's mission. We are responsible for developing secure, compliant, and dependable domestic wire transfers, enabling businesses to transfer substantial amounts of capital with precision and confidence. The systems we create must strike a balance between speed and safety, scalability and stringent controls, as well as product adaptability and regulatory compliance.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be at the heart of Mercury’s money movement platform. You will design and enhance high-reliability systems, shape technical strategies, collaborate with product, risk, and banking teams, and mentor fellow engineers as we expand. This role presents a chance to work on infrastructure where durability, transparency, and sound judgment are as crucial as speed.
