Qualifications

Degree in IT, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience. Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. Senior-level engineering proficiency with hands-on experience in Python, Java, JavaScript, Gradle, and Jenkins (or similar CI/CD tools). Familiarity with containerization technologies and experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift (or equivalent platforms). Strong understanding of security principles, industry standards, and best practices. Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools and automated security scanning solutions. Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of financial markets and familiarity with financial products is a plus.

Join Avaloq's dynamic Security team, comprising a diverse group of analysts and seasoned software engineers dedicated to safeguarding our technology infrastructure. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our application security frameworks and tools across all technology stacks. Collaborate closely with business teams to implement best practices tailored to specific security needs, conduct comprehensive application security assessments, monitor vulnerabilities, and assist in devising effective risk mitigation strategies.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Development, customers, business analysts, and software partners to analyze, design, and develop security requirements.
  • Create, implement, and sustain internal CI/CD pipelines and automated tools to enhance vulnerability management and streamline development workflows.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects, contributing your expertise and collaborating with various departments.
  • Oversee the daily automated build process, analyzing security warnings and providing necessary guidance or solutions.
  • Monitor third-party library management, including updates and removals, utilizing in-house tools and platforms like Mend.
  • Evaluate detected vulnerabilities, assess their exploitability, analyze false positives, and propose effective fixes.
  • Maintain configuration control, ensuring the accuracy of the release baseline.
  • Coordinate security initiatives across teams to guarantee the quality and security of Avaloq products.
  • Prepare and disseminate documentation and reports regarding security risks, findings, and remediation progress.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews with internal security policies and best practices.
  • Participate in technical discussions, sharing insights on security implementations and opportunities for improvement.
