Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs that support our core product at scale. You will play a pivotal role in implementing new features, enhancing reliability and performance, and creating tools that empower our team to work more efficiently and address customer needs. Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools will be essential, and we expect you to utilize them effectively and judiciously.
The Right Fit:
Over 10 years of experience in Java development within an enterprise environment (personal projects not included)
Expertise in server-side Java programming; experience with Apache Tomcat is advantageous
Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases
Experience in building or maintaining large-scale systems: handling thousands of servers and millions of users
Proficient with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and have regular hands-on experience
Comfortable working across platforms (Linux/macOS/Windows) — no need to be an expert on all, but familiarity is key
Bonus Points For:
Experience with clustered MySQL systems
Proficiency in Python for scripting, tooling, or data tasks
Familiarity with JavaScript and/or ReactJS
Experience with Struts or JSPs
