Your Impact

As a Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer, you will spearhead essential software engineering projects and define the technical strategy across a range of embedded product lines, from body-worn and in-car cameras to drones and next-gen connected devices. Your responsibilities will include architecting and advancing embedded software systems, ensuring high standards of stability, scalability, security, and performance.

You will proactively identify technical challenges and opportunities, guiding architectural choices that prepare our products for complex operational environments. Your strategic insights will foster collaboration with executives and cross-functional teams, significantly shaping Axon’s software engineering landscape. Your mentorship will elevate the skillsets of engineers across various teams, driving the technical excellence that is central to Axon’s mission.

Additionally, you will influence Axon’s strategy regarding applied artificial intelligence in connected devices, overseeing how AI models are trained, deployed, and evaluated within the ecosystem. You will help build robust AI architectures that prioritize model performance, operational feasibility, safety, and reliability, ensuring our AI-driven functionalities are dependable in critical scenarios.
