About OLIX
At OLIX, we are at the forefront of the AI revolution, addressing the unprecedented demand for advanced hardware solutions. As the industry grapples with outdated technology, we are pioneering a new standard with our Optical Tensor Processing Unit (OTPU). This innovative architecture offers unmatched performance and energy efficiency, poised to redefine the future of computing.
Role Overview
We are in search of a highly skilled Staff FPGA Engineer to spearhead the design and execution of FPGA-based prototyping and emulation systems, directly supporting the development of our OTPU ASIC. This is a critical senior role within our ASIC design team, dedicated to the pre-silicon prototyping and emulation framework.
In this position, you will convert evolving ASIC RTL into precise, multi-FPGA prototypes and emulation-accelerated environments, facilitating early hardware-software co-development, functional validation, and system-level debugging prior to tape-out.
You will be responsible for how the ASIC is represented in FPGA, leading the partitioning and mapping processes on Cadence Protium or similar multi-FPGA platforms, while developing the necessary infrastructure to ensure the prototype’s accuracy and usability.
Collaboration is key; you will work closely with ASIC, hardware, software, verification teams, and our FPGA engineering team based in London to maintain alignment across the broader FPGA program.
This role is focused on developing a reliable and maintainable prototype platform designed to accelerate silicon and software development, rather than production FPGA systems. Experience with commercial prototyping and emulation platforms will be advantageous!
