Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field plus a minimum of eight years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience. Professional Engineering licensure in Civil/Structural Engineering. Preferred Qualifications:Master of Science with a concentration in Structural Engineering. Over ten years of experience as a Structural Engineer, with focused expertise in ports, maritime, and waterfront projects. Proficiency with analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, RISA 3D, STAAD. Pro, and SAFE. Experience with AutoCAD and Revit. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

In this pivotal role, you will lead project teams in generating engineering solutions through all phases, from initial proposals and procurement to detailed design and construction support. You will be part of a global network of over 500 maritime specialists involved in diverse projects, including container and offshore wind terminals, waterfront developments, cruise and ferry terminals, marinas, harbors, and coastal protection initiatives.

Our office boasts a strong history of delivering maritime services to various stakeholders, including port authorities, contractors, transportation agencies, government entities, international financial institutions, and private developers.

This role demands expertise and a commitment to excellence in maritime engineering. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing complex planning and design activities for multi-discipline maritime infrastructure projects.
  • Independently developing and analyzing calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports, while overseeing the technical deliverables of junior engineers to ensure high standards.
  • Providing authoritative guidance on junior engineers' work and conducting quality control reviews.
  • Contributing technical expertise to project scopes and design fee estimates in response to RFPs.
  • Leading coordination of the marine team with other engineering disciplines, ensuring cohesive project delivery.
