ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Supplier Sourcing Engineer for Intelligence Systems, known internally as the Senior Product Sourcing Engineer, will be pivotal in advancing our strategic supply network and managing costs associated with Anduril's hardware products throughout their lifecycle. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers as well as cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing. You will take ownership of the supply chain for the Anduril Intelligence & Space business line, overseeing engineering support, vendor onboarding and development, as well as sourcing, pricing, and negotiating for the comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Thoroughly analyze the engineering Bill of Materials (BOM), collaborating with engineering to ensure that designed parts are feasible for sourcing and procurement at competitive costs.
- Facilitate supplier selection for specific products, utilizing our approved supplier list and onboarding unique vendors to fulfill the needs of the Space & Intelligence business team.
- Implement innovative solutions to ensure timely delivery, breaking conventional industry lead-times and supply constraints.
- Collaborate with strategic suppliers to expedite product development through various activities, including:
- Defining requirements through concept scoping.
- Evaluating feature trade-offs.
- Creating should cost and clean sheet models.
- Engaging in joint design development with clear statements of work.
- Simulating mechanical and electronic designs.
- Oversee the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to scale production both internally and with our suppliers flexibly.
