Your Role
Epic Games is on the lookout for a Senior Systems Designer who will take charge of developing essential progression, economy, and gameplay balance features for an exciting new game project. This role involves conceptualizing and prototyping these features, collaborating with a multidisciplinary development team for implementation, and overseeing their evolution in a live game setting, ensuring that our players have an enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with project leads and directors to shape and refine intricate design systems that enhance engagement, gameplay, and the creative vision of the project.
- Design, document, prototype, and iterate on these systems while working alongside a diverse team of developers, ensuring their successful implementation from initiation to completion.
- Engage hands-on in creating the necessary scripting, data, and content for these systems, utilizing the engine and various tools.
- Actively solicit and integrate feedback across the team to ensure we consistently deliver a fresh and enjoyable experience to our players.
- Continue to enhance and evolve these systems once they are live, ensuring the game remains thrilling and engaging for players.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Designer, with a focus on progression, economy, gameplay system, and gameplay balance features and content.
- Proven experience in live-service multiplayer environments, demonstrating a commitment to delivering engaging player experiences.
