About the Role
The Senior Systems Engineer collaborates closely with the Sales Team to eliminate technical obstacles in the sales process.
Key responsibilities include effectively communicating Veeam’s messaging to various decision-makers, including CXOs, chief architects, and IT management. You will be instrumental in creating content and delivering demonstrations that support this messaging, often in partnership with Channel Partners. This role also involves training partners to independently promote and resell our solutions. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, technically skilled presales engineer with a proven track record of collaborating across sales and support teams to drive successful outcomes. Strong architectural strategy development skills are essential to guide customers in adopting Veeam technologies.
This customer-centric technical position requires working closely with the field sales and channel teams to inform and engage partners, resellers, and end users about our offerings. It is crucial to be both an advocate for Veeam and a dependable technical resource.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you are expected to act in a consultative role and be recognized as the go-to expert on all Veeam products by sales, channel partners, and fellow systems engineers. This role demands an influential presence at all organizational levels, coupled with a highly autonomous work ethic.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct live presentations and demonstrations for customers.
- Manage Proof of Concepts (POCs) through to technical closure.
- Participate in lead generation activities, including events, webinars, and user groups.
- Engage with customers and partners to understand and negotiate technical requirements.
- Actively participate in the virtualization community.
