Qualifications

You will:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and operations leads, to create and implement requirements, system architecture, and verification strategies for new depot automation features like automated low power mode switching. Gain a comprehensive technical understanding of existing and new depot automation features and drive a robust end-to-end verification and monitoring system to ensure these features meet high efficacy standards. Develop qualification methods for launching new features and depots, providing engineering recommendations to senior stakeholders. Investigate field issues to determine root causes and devise solutions in conjunction with cross-functional teams. Lead retrospectives to implement improvements in test coverage and processes to mitigate future issues. Extend existing depot automation features to new vehicle platforms, ensuring feature parity across the diverse Waymo fleet. Apply your technical expertise to new areas while quickly acquiring knowledge. You have:A bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, software development, or a similar field.
