Role Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer - Fly By Wire (FBW) will help define, validate, and verify system requirements for Archer’s flight control systems. This role works closely with suppliers to ensure requirements are properly communicated and validated, focusing on flight-critical systems that interact with pilots and other major aircraft components. The position supports FAA compliance and certification efforts for the Archer Midnight eVTOL aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage system-level requirements and oversee validation and verification activities according to ARP-4754A-based processes.
- Collaborate with other Systems Engineers to ensure the integrated system meets specifications and is tuned for performance.
- Support suppliers in developing lower-level requirement sets, working with technical leads and subject matter experts.
- Participate in integration testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving across multiple disciplines.
- Assist in testing at both equipment and aircraft levels, including work at Archer facilities and during flight tests.
- Help prepare compliance documentation, such as test procedures and reports, to support validation, verification, and certification.
- Work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and testing labs to move projects forward.
