Role overview
The Senior Systems Engineer - Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) plays a central role within Voyager’s ISR team. This hybrid position, reporting to the VP of Engineering, can be based in Folsom, CA or Beavercreek, OH. The engineer will design, develop, and integrate next-generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) systems, working across both software and hardware. Involvement spans from early concept through deployment, with a strong emphasis on system performance in defense and space settings.
What you will do
- Lead technical requirements definition, system architecture, design, integration, and testing for ISR systems.
- Conduct technical trade studies for SIGINT systems.
- Develop risk management and mitigation strategies for complex projects.
- Support proposal development with attention to technical performance, cost, and schedule.
- Apply systems engineering discipline to requirements development, segmentation, flow-down, verification, and validation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to systems and software engineering teams.
- Guide project teams in areas such as:
- Digital signal processing and software architecture implementations
- Systems (software and hardware) requirements and design
