As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in systems engineering principles across the entire systems life cycle, including Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement phases. You will collaborate with government stakeholders to address technical considerations and resolve associated challenges. Your role involves clear communication with program personnel, government representatives, and senior executives, ensuring the technical integrity, quality, and thoroughness of deliverables across various process areas defined by ISO/IEC 15288.
- Technical Process Areas: Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
- Project Process Areas: Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
- Enterprise Process Areas: Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
- Agreement Process Areas: Acquisition and Supply.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting systems engineering activities and supporting the creation of work products in Technical Process Areas aligned with ISO/IEC 15288.
- Delivering high-quality work products across any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
- Analyzing technical alternatives and providing preliminary recommendations for projects.
- Contributing to systems engineering activities in the Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
- Developing innovative solutions to technical challenges and evaluating their suitability for project implementation.
- Recommending appropriate engineering standards and processes for projects.
- Overseeing the work of other engineers and technicians, ensuring effective project execution.
- Leading systems engineering efforts and supervising project engineering staff.
