Join Fabergent as a Senior Systems Engineer, where you will leverage your expertise in VMware, Dell/HP Servers, and a variety of network and server technologies. Your role will involve deploying and managing Windows Server environments (2008-2012 R2), NetApp Storage, and Linux systems (preferably SUSE). You will also work with Office 365, Exchange (2010-2016), Active Directory, Cisco Networking, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Microsoft Systems Center.
As a key member of our team, you will:
- Deploy new servers and manage the lifecycle of older servers, including replacement and migration.
- Attend planning meetings to assess technology needs, recommending solutions based on industry best practices.
- Manage a virtual server environment, ensuring optimal performance and planning for future capacity requirements.
- Collaborate with team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a supportive environment.
- Research and propose innovative and automated approaches to administrative tasks.
- Build and maintain IT infrastructure across various operating systems, ensuring systems are current with industry trends.
- Implement system security best practices, including patching and hardening systems.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery and backup solutions.
- Manage and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and VoIP systems.
