Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts to identify implementation strategies for business requirements, consulting with the architecture team as necessary.
- Create detailed design specifications for application components utilizing formal analysis methodologies (e.g., UML).
- Ensure that functionality aligns with the application design and standards within the established architectural framework.
- Guarantee applications are developed in compliance with all relevant standards.
- Produce high-quality, efficient application components.
- Design and establish a detailed approach for integration testing.
- Estimate the implementation effort required for agreed changes.
- Conduct unit testing and assist with live implementations.
- Provide high-level technical insights for efficient problem resolution, considering business priorities.
- Manage application-related issues referred by the Service Desk, ensuring diagnostics, effort estimation, and routing for resolution to maximize application uptime in line with SLAs.
- Adhere to coding, release, and usability standards.
- Develop solutions that meet business requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10-12 years of commercial experience in designing and developing J2EE applications, particularly in a B2C or E-commerce context.
- Proficient in Java 1.5 and later versions, with a strong background in J2EE web development (JSP, JavaScript, CSS, Servlets & Tags).
- Experience with RESTful services.
- Solid understanding of Spring-based technologies, including the core Spring framework and ideally Spring web services.
