Your Impact
We are seeking a talented Senior XR UX Designer who is proficient in Unity and has a systems-thinking mindset. You will be responsible for designing comprehensive user experiences that encompass the entire customer journey across various touchpoints and interactions, ensuring a consistent, learnable, and reliable XR experience from start to finish. You will lead the UX design for XR products (VR/AR/MR), utilizing interactive Unity prototypes to validate concepts early and mitigate risks. Prototyping will serve as the foundation for your work, allowing you to create high-fidelity Unity experiences that inform implementation and can accelerate production, while developing reusable design patterns to enhance team efficiency. Collaboration with engineering will be essential to integrate insights from prototypes into finalized experiences, and you will partner with other designers and prototypers to maintain alignment, scalability, and speed in our development processes.
What You’ll Do
Work Location: This position is based in our Seattle, WA office and follows a hybrid work model. We emphasize in-person collaboration, with team members expected to work onsite Tuesday through Friday, while enjoying the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays unless otherwise accommodated. We believe that in-office interactions drive innovation, and our workplace culture promotes teamwork, mentorship, and shared achievements.
Reports to: Director of Product Design, AR/VR
Direct Reports: None, this is an individual contributor role.
- Design at a systems level: Lead the architecture of experiences and customer experience systems , mapping end-to-end journeys, defining interaction models, and establishing reliable failure and recovery paths to make complex XR experiences coherent and learnable.
- Build Unity experiences that are more than demos: Develop high-fidelity Unity experiences (prototype-plus) with sufficient structure to guide implementation and expedite production.
- Leverage AI as a force multiplier: Utilize AI technologies to enhance your design process and outcomes.
