What you will do

Define, maintain, and improve design system components, patterns, and interaction standards used throughout CarGurus products.
Collaborate closely with Engineering on implementation, architecture decisions, and handoff processes.
Identify and address gaps in system usage to minimize the need for workarounds.
Reduce duplicated design and development efforts by standardizing frequent solutions.
Support design and engineering teams with documentation, reviews, and hands-on collaboration to encourage adoption.
Guide the contribution process, managing proposals, reviews, and approvals for system updates.
Oversee the design system backlog and prioritize incoming requests.
