The Senior Voice User Interface (VUI) Designer is a pivotal role dedicated to the development of seamless and user-centric voice experiences for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) applications, spanning both speech and DTMF channels. This position takes ownership of designing call flows and engaging conversational interactions, ensuring our IVR solutions are intuitive, impactful, and aligned with organizational objectives.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, IVR Engineers, Application Architects, and speech scientists. You will serve as the critical link between customer experience design and technical execution, translating requirements into precise call flows, design specifications, and user stories that guide development and optimization efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing user-focused IVR experiences for both speech and DTMF applications.
- Gathering and analyzing user and business requirements for IVR solutions.
- Crafting comprehensive call flows for speech and DTMF-based systems.
- Developing detailed design specifications and documentation for IVR execution.
- Partnering with Product Owners to enhance voice user experiences.
- Writing user stories for developers and speech scientists to implement your designs.
- Providing support to speech scientists in grammar design and tuning processes.
- Conducting usability testing and analyzing feedback to enhance IVR performance.
- Optimizing IVR applications to improve recognition accuracy and overall user experience.
- Effectively communicating design rationale and methodologies to various stakeholders.
