The Senior Voice User Interface (VUI) Designer plays a pivotal role in crafting seamless and user-friendly voice interactions for IVR applications across both speech and DTMF channels. This position is responsible for designing intuitive call flows and conversational interfaces that enhance user satisfaction while aligning with organizational objectives.
This role collaborates extensively with Product Owners, IVR Engineers, Application Architects, and speech scientists, effectively bridging the gap between user experience design and technical execution. You will translate business requirements into actionable call flows, design specifications, and user narratives that guide development and optimization efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop user-centric IVR designs for both speech and DTMF applications.
- Collect and analyze business and user requirements for IVR applications.
- Design comprehensive call flows for speech and DTMF-based IVR experiences.
- Produce detailed design specifications and documentation for IVR implementations.
- Work closely with Product Owners to enhance and refine voice user experiences.
- Generate user stories for developers and speech scientists to implement designs effectively.
- Assist speech scientists with grammar design and tuning processes.
- Conduct usability testing and interpret results to enhance IVR performance.
- Optimize IVR applications to improve recognition accuracy and overall user experience.
- Articulate design rationale and methodologies to stakeholders.
