Qualifications
Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop block-based build strategies that align seamlessly with facility designs and crane operations. Set targets for block size, weight, and dimensions to enhance throughput and workflow efficiency. Convert vessel classifications, annual production rates, and steel tonnage into actionable facility capacity plans. Establish pre-outfitting protocols to maximize upstream labor efficiency and minimize onboard tasks. Proactively identify and mitigate facility-related throughput bottlenecks during the design phase. Ensure material flows support concurrent work processes and predictable sequencing of operations. Collaborate with facilities, heavy lift operations, manufacturing engineering, and design teams to integrate build strategies comprehensively.

Job Overview
As a Shipyard Build Strategy Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the methodologies for ship construction, directly influencing the design of the shipyard itself. This position is situated at the crucial intersection of product development, build strategies, and facility design, ensuring that our infrastructure, including buildings, cranes, transport pathways, and production workflows, are meticulously optimized for efficiency, repeatability, and scalability.
Your mission will be to ensure that our facility design is inherently driven by production needs rather than conforming build strategies to rigid infrastructure.
