Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's Degree in Engineering is preferred. Over 5 years of experience in design engineering, production, operations, or manufacturing. At least 3 years of experience using cost modeling software tools, specifically aPriori, with a proven track record in developing detailed cost models for various manufacturing processes. In-depth experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, forging, casting, plastic injection, sheet metal work, aluminum extrusion, packaging, and assembly. Strong grasp of component cost structure and financial principles such as labor rates, machine rates, overheads, and profitability metrics. Proficient in data analysis and management with advanced skills in MS Excel, Tableau, and Power BI. Capable of designing scorecards and dashboards from large, dynamic data sets.

  • Develop and refine should cost models across varying categories tailored to current business requirements.
  • Leverage extensive technical knowledge to create and calibrate should cost models, focusing on essential manufacturing processes and benchmarking insights.
  • Forge collaborative relationships with teams in sourcing, design engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to validate assumptions and methodologies.
  • Drive cost-effective design strategies by evaluating and implementing cost optimization and avoidance initiatives in partnership with R&D.
  • Continuously assess global commodity trends to forecast cost fluctuations related to material and labor usage in cost models.
  • Create detailed and customized cost reports for stakeholders.
  • Assist in supporting other Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
