Role Overview: Manager, Data Center Operations (Day Shift) This role is based in Santa Clara, CA, and covers the day shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The Manager, Data Center Operations, is responsible for the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the facility’s electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and communications systems. This position requires hands-on oversight and a strong technical background across multiple disciplines. Main Responsibilities Mechanical Systems: Oversee chilled water systems, HVAC (including rooftop units), CRAC/CRAH units, and humidification systems. Electrical Systems: Manage power distribution from utility and generator main switchgear through UPS systems to customer loads. Fire Safety: Supervise wet and pre-action sprinkler systems and related detection devices. Communications Infrastructure: Direct IDF/MDF/MMR management, structured cabling, and customer space management. Lead vendor management, including daily operations and service contracts. Handle all aspects of project management, from initial planning through completion. Oversee commissioning activities within the data center. Write and review Methods of Procedure (MOPs) at an advanced level. Drive operational efficiency and energy management initiatives.
