Internship Overview

The Simulation and Modeling Intern (Fall 2026) role is based in Phoenix, Arizona. This paid, full-time internship runs for 12 weeks, starting January or February 2027 and ending April or May 2027. The program is on-site and intended for students currently enrolled in a full-time academic program. Recent graduates who do not plan to return to school are encouraged to explore ASM's Early Career opportunities instead.

What You Will Do

  • Work on simulation projects relevant to the semiconductor industry.
  • Participate in design of experiments (DOE) studies.
  • Apply predictive reduced-order modeling to support semiconductor engineering analysis.

What You Should Bring

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field.
  • Strong background in numerical modeling and simulation.
  • Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and/or multi-physics simulations is a plus.
