Main responsibilities Architecture and Technical Decisions Oversee system architecture across electronics, mechanics, and firmware, balancing performance, cost, and maintainability. Anticipate requirements for EMC, CE, and NDAA certifications from the start of each project. Strive for simplicity in design, removing unnecessary complexity. Industrialization and Quality Integrate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) constraints early in the process. Develop and enforce validation plans that go beyond lab testing, including functional, environmental, EMC, and field tests. Prepare thorough industrial documentation for production, such as BOM, Gerber files, test reports, and procedures. Manage BOM costs and secure key components by establishing dual sourcing strategies. Lead go/no-go reviews before each hardware release and make final decisions.
