Key Responsibilities:Travel to customer locations to conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on advanced diesel and natural gas generators (e.g., CAT, Cummins, Generac, Kohler). Efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose issues with power generation equipment, including Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), generator controls, AC, and DC systems. Respond to customer sites within the designated timeframe to perform emergency maintenance and repairs on generator equipment. Maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner using company systems.

Role overview

The Skilled Commercial Generator Technician works in the field, servicing commercial generators and automatic transfer switches (ATS) at client sites throughout the Paterson, NJ and White Plains, NY area. This position is well suited for technicians with a solid background in both mechanical and electrical aspects of power generation. The work involves varied tasks, travel to customer locations, and direct interaction with clients in telecom and commercial environments.

  • Service, maintain, and repair diesel and natural gas generators as well as ATS units
  • Work with equipment from leading manufacturers, including Caterpillar (CAT), Cummins, Generac, and Kohler
