Role overview
HelloFresh seeks a skilled Forklift Operator for the Phoenix, AZ facility. This role plays a key part in supporting production by moving materials, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The position combines hands-on equipment operation with computer-based recordkeeping to help keep operations on track.
Main responsibilities
- Operate lift trucks and hand trucks safely to transport materials to assigned locations on schedule.
- Receive products, check deliveries for quality and environmental compliance, and process Bills of Lading (BOL) and Purchase Orders (PO).
- Select products from inventory and deliver them to production areas as needed.
- Update inventory and production records in HelloFresh’s computer systems.
- Inspect incoming trucks and materials, reporting any defects or concerns to a supervisor.
- Assist with shipping and warehouse operations, including preparing finished products for external carriers.
- Communicate food safety or quality issues to the appropriate team members.
- Follow all safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies.
- Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) protocols for inventory management and keep production materials stocked.
- Shrink-wrap pallets for shipment, either manually or with automated equipment.
- Ensure shipping materials are available and organized at all times.
Requirements
- Experience working in a warehouse or production environment.
- Able to use hands for handling objects and tools.
- Regularly able to lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Vision requirements include close and peripheral vision.
- Clear communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Physically able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, and lift for 10 to 12 hours per shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
