Job Summary
As a Slitter Operator, you will play a crucial role in the slitting and rewinding processes, as well as in the inspection and data collection of the finished products destined for our Finished Goods department. Your commitment to meeting company standards and customer specifications will be essential to our success.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring that daily activities are performed safely and correctly.
2. Be prepared to work overtime based on workload, staffing schedules, or customer demands.
3. Help keep the work area clean and organized.
4. Assist in managing supply inventories related to the finishing department.
5. Set up equipment according to job specifications or review setups from previous shifts to ensure compliance with requirements.
6. Monitor and maintain a quality inventory of knives and spacers, notifying the Supervisor when repairs or replacements are needed.
7. Conduct quality checks before production and monitor print quality during production, isolating products that do not meet company and customer standards.
8. Provide quality samples to customers as required.
