QualificationsMaster’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Signal Processing, Automation, Wireless Communications, or related fields. Experience in one or more of the following: sensing systems, algorithm development, signal processing, predictive modeling, embedded development, or intelligent connected systems. Familiarity with sensor-based data analysis and model development. Understanding of how to integrate multiple data sources into prediction or monitoring systems. Strong programming skills and competence with common tools for data analysis and algorithm development. Hands-on experience in embedded software or system development is preferred.

We are looking for a passionate and driven Research Scientist specializing in Smart Sensing and Prediction to spearhead innovation at the convergence of advanced sensing technologies, artificial intelligence, and comprehensive system integration. This position requires not only extensive technical expertise but also exceptional collaboration skills, aimed at accelerating research outcomes through strategic partnerships with universities, start-ups, and research institutions.

The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of smart sensing technology advancements while also serving as a vital link between academia, emerging enterprises in China, and our internal R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct applied research and development focused on intelligent monitoring, prediction, and sensing solutions.
  • Develop signal processing, modeling, and algorithmic solutions tailored for environmental and sensor-related applications.
  • Support projects that involve environmental risk assessments, condition monitoring, and classification tasks within indoor environments.
  • Investigate how multi-source sensing information—including environmental and wireless signals—can enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to the design of prediction and classification functionalities for real-world sensing applications, including risk detection and presence/absence recognition.
  • Prototype and assess sensing solutions in applicable scenarios.
  • Create and implement embedded solutions for data acquisition, processing, and algorithm deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn technical concepts into effective solutions and product features.
  • Assist in data collection, testing, performance evaluation, and ongoing enhancement of algorithms and prototypes.
  • Engage in the preparation of technical documentation, internal knowledge sharing, and project communications.
