Role Overview: Software Development Engineer

What You Will Do
- Develop software that meets both functional and non-functional requirements, clarifying details when specifications are incomplete or change over time.
- Design and recommend technical solutions that support future product innovation, balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability.
- Assess and compare off-the-shelf products with custom-built solutions to choose the best approach for each project.
- Apply industry standards and recognized practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including integration and delivery stages.
- Investigate and resolve issues and incidents, sometimes taking the lead to see problems through to resolution.
- Maintain and improve application quality and performance, ensuring systems evolve sustainably over time.
- Champion continuous improvement so software stays maintainable, reliable, and adaptable as needs change.
