About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you'll oversee the development and integration of innovative software systems. Your responsibilities will also include updating existing software and performing feasibility studies on company systems. While this role involves managerial aspects, you will actively engage in coding applications, generating reports, and mentoring junior developers.
To excel in this position, you should possess strong managerial skills, a deep understanding of programming languages, and exceptional project management abilities. An accomplished Software Engineer will effectively recognize the capabilities and talents of junior team members, assigning tasks appropriately.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Engage with team leads to fully understand programming tasks for ongoing projects.
- Provide accurate timelines and estimates to ensure timely task completion.
- Collaborate with fellow Software Engineers to resolve bugs and enhance features.
- Analyze and optimize performance in both high-level and low-level code.
- Demonstrate proficiency in rapid prototyping.
- Independently implement new functionalities in platforms and tools.
- Quickly adapt to new coding environments and programming standards.
- Coordinate with Design and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of experience haptics and physical elements in Dreamscape installations.
- Maintain current knowledge of various active stages of the overall Dreamscape system for troubleshooting purposes.
- Provide task management and oversight for junior team members as needed.
- Mentor interns when required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in developing retail products using Unity or Unreal engines.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and C#.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PC or mobile XR.
- Familiarity with Unity package management and addressable frameworks.
- Understanding of WebGL applications.
