About The Role:

The Cloud Infrastructure team offers a unique opportunity to design and implement the core cloud environment that will support Notion's rapid expansion. As a Software Engineer in this team, you will be instrumental in developing the foundational infrastructure utilized by all teams at Notion, steering us through the next phase of our growth journey.

What You'll Achieve:

  • Shape the Future of Notion's Cloud Infrastructure—You will spearhead our strategy and execution in areas such as compute, networking, and resource orchestration, ensuring our platform reliably and securely scales to accommodate over 100 million users globally. This includes optimizing container orchestration, enhancing cloud cost efficiency, ensuring resilience, and expanding our global presence while adhering to compliance and performance standards.

  • Build Our Next-Generation Self-Service Platform—Collaborating closely with product engineers, you will facilitate rapid, reliable deployments with robust guardrails, all while minimizing friction and maximizing development velocity across hundreds of engineers. You will be accountable for upholding high-quality standards for everything your team delivers.

  • Exemplify Operational Excellence—You will lead the team through high-severity incidents, address gaps in observability, refine incident response processes, and maintain reliability standards. Participation in a sustainable on-call rotation will be expected, along with contributing to the development of Notion's reliability culture.
